Setup

Normal small-sided teams, one simple rule: no dribbling allowed.

Steps

  1. 1Play a scrimmage where players can pivot and pass but not dribble.
  2. 2Emphasise cutting to get open and hitting the open teammate.
  3. 3Reset if the ball hits the floor on a dribble.
  4. 4Reward good cuts and passes with vocal praise.

Coaching points

  • Cut hard to get open — 'don't stand still'.
  • Meet the pass, give a target.
  • Look before you pass; fake one, throw another.

Why kids love it

Kids figure out teamwork on their own because the game forces it — and they love the puzzle of scoring without dribbling.

Variations

Easier

Allow 1 dribble.

Harder
