The short version: we collect what's needed to run your account and your practice plans, we don't advertise, we don't track you, and we deliberately don't store children's personal details.
Practli is a youth basketball practice-planning app operated by Michael Capps, trading as Practli (ABN 53 376 016 297), a sole trader based in Queensland, Australia. For anything in this policy, email contact@practli.app.
Practli is built for adult coaches. The Game Day line-up planner is the only place player information is stored, and it deliberately accepts only a first name or nickname and an optional bib number. There is no field for surnames, dates of birth, contact details, addresses, photos, medical information or anything else about a child, because we don't want that data and won't hold it.
Even so, a first name is personal information. Our advice: use nicknames or initials where you can. You are responsible for your club's own consent and safeguarding rules about recording players, and for that information we act on your instructions as your processor. You can delete any roster entry at any time, and deleting it removes it from our database.
The AI plan builder and Ask Coach send your typed brief or question, plus the age group and drill catalogue they need for context, to an AI model provider on our behalf. Roster entries and player names are never included in those requests.
Those requests go through Lovable's AI gateway to a Google Gemini model. We don't use your content to train models and we don't sell it; their handling of it is governed by their own terms. Please don't type anything into Ask Coach that you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI service — and in particular, nothing that identifies a child.
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe's checkout and never reach Practli's servers — we store only the subscription's status, plan and renewal date. Stripe's own privacy notice governs what they do with payment data.
These providers operate in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens we rely on the providers' standard contractual protections. If you need to know the specific region your data sits in, ask us and we'll tell you.
We use two things, both strictly necessary: your sign-in session, kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in, and a single cookie named practli_auth that records nothing but whether someone is signed in — it contains no token and no personal data. Neither is used for tracking, which is why you won't see a cookie banner.
Your account and coaching content stay while your account is open. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove your account, plans, practices, notes and roster entries. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs are short-lived.
Depending on where you live you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask us to hand it over in a portable format. Email contact@practli.app and we'll deal with it within one month.
If you're in the UK or EU you can complain to your data protection authority; in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We'd rather you came to us first.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Every table holding your data has row-level security so one coach's account cannot read another's. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider. The strongest protection, though, is that we collect very little in the first place.
Practli is for adults. It isn't directed at children and children shouldn't create accounts. If you believe a child has signed up, tell us and we'll remove the account.
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell account holders by email. See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
