150+ drills · 20 ready-made plans · U8 – U16 · Built by a coach, not a committee
It's 9pm on Sunday and you still don't have a plan
You said yes to coaching because nobody else did. Now it's the night before, you've got a squad of eight-year-olds, a hall for an hour, and a YouTube tab full of drills built for high school kids. Practli is the bit in between: proper drills for this age group, arranged into a session that actually fits the time you've got.
How it works
Pick your drills
Search 150+ drills by skill, age and how long they take. Every one shows you exactly what it looks like on court.
Build the plan
Start from one of 20 ready-made plans, let the AI build one from a sentence, or drag it together yourself. It totals your time as you go.
Run it courtside
Open the plan on your phone at training. One drill at a time, big text, your notes where you can see them.
Every player has a ball and each pair exchanges two at once — one on the bounce, one over the top — racing a two-minute clock.
Every drill shows you what it looks like
Most drill libraries give you a paragraph and hope. Practli animates the drill — players, passes, cuts, screens — then walks you through it step by step. You'll know how it runs before you're standing in front of twelve kids.
Go on — tap Back and Next. This one's live.
A plan in about a minute
Twenty plans already built for common situations — first practice of the season, 60 minutes, small squad, shooting focus. Or type "45 minutes, U10, they can't catch" and let the AI put one together. Change anything you like.
Courtside mode
The plan on your phone, one drill at a time, in text you can read at arm's length in a noisy hall. Per-drill notes so you remember what worked.
Game Day
Fair-rotation line-ups that give everyone close to equal minutes, plus who's coming on and off each period. No parent maths on the sideline.
The coach you'd text at 9pm, if you had one
Every coach has a friend they'd ask if they had one — someone who's run a hundred junior sessions and won't make you feel stupid for asking. Ask Coach is that, at any hour, and it knows every drill in your library.
Ask it anything
- “My U10s all chase the ball in a pack. What do I do?”
- “Half the team didn't show. What can I run with six kids and one hoop?”
- “How do I explain a jump stop to eight-year-olds?”
- “One girl is miles better than everyone else — how do I keep it fair and still stretch her?”
- “They keep double-dribbling and I don't know how to fix it.”
It knows what you've got.
Answers are grounded in the 150+ drills in Practli, so it never sends you off to something you can't run. Mention a drill and it links you straight to the page, diagram and all.
It knows who you're coaching.
Ask about U8s and you get answers for U8s — the language, the attention spans, the things that genuinely matter at that age. Not clipped-down high school coaching.
It knows where to stop.
It won't diagnose an injury or handle a safeguarding question. It'll tell you to speak to a human, which is the only right answer.
Pro adds an “Ask about this drill” button on every drill page, so you can say “how do I run this with twelve kids instead of eight?” without explaining the drill first.
Free: 10 messages a month. Pro: unlimited, and from any drill page.

FAQ
Do I have to download anything?
No. Practli runs in your browser. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app.
Is the free tier actually usable?
Yes. Every drill is free to browse, animated diagram and all — there's no locked-off catalogue. Free gives you one saved plan and one active practice, which is enough to plan a session and run it courtside. Pro is about saving your work, teaching Steps mode and the AI, not holding the basics hostage.
What ages does it cover?
U8 through U16. Every drill is tagged, and the plan builder only suggests drills that suit the age you pick.
Is Ask Coach just ChatGPT with a basketball hat on?
It's grounded in Practli's own drill library and the age group you're coaching, so it answers with drills you can actually open and run, not a generic list. It also stays in its lane — no medical advice, no safeguarding calls.
I've never coached before. Is this too advanced?
It's built for you specifically. Coaching 101 covers the fundamentals and the vocabulary, and every drill has coaching points telling you what to actually say.
I only coach for four months a year.
Go monthly and cancel in the off-season — for a season that short it genuinely works out cheaper. The annual plan pays for itself from about 7 months of coaching on.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your account. You keep access to the end of the period you've paid for.
