Run a clean 3-lane fast break and finish.
Lane discipline at full speed. Three wide lanes and pass-first rules teach that a break is a team shape, not a solo sprint — the ball moves up the floor faster through the air than on the bounce.
In games: Turns chaotic all-run-to-the-ball breaks into clean 2-on-1 layups — the difference between a team that scores in transition and one that travels at full speed.
U10: walk the three lanes once with no dribble first — merging lanes is normal. U14–U16: expect full-speed finishes, a chasing defender, and the continuous version.
1 ball, full court
Three players start across the baseline, no defence.
Running the floor is a favourite, and clean lanes make transition second nature.
Add one defender to make it 3-on-1.
Walk the three lanes once with no dribble — pass, run, and stop at the free-throw line.
Post two players at the far baseline who break back the other way the moment the layup drops.
