Dribble across a space while protecting the ball from a 'bulldog'.
Ball protection under genuine hunting pressure. A bulldog trying to knock the ball away makes the off-arm shield, the body-between, and the change of speed matter for real — protection becomes survival, not a coaching cue.
In games: Fixes the game-day steal-off-the-dribble — the kid who bounces the ball in front of their body gets stripped every week; the kid who shields and bursts doesn't.
U8: expect swarms of caught players by round two — restart often and laugh. U12: expect weak-hand crossings and deliberate, patient changes of pace.
1 ball each
Players with balls on one baseline. One or two 'bulldogs' (no ball) in the middle.
Bulldogs pile up each round, so the challenge grows and the chaos is a blast.
Weak hand only across the middle.
Widen the middle third and start with a single bulldog who must stay on one line.
Let a surviving dribbler free a caught teammate by passing them a ball on the way through.
